Happy Valentines day!  Todays post is going to include fashion inspiration as well as some fun DIY decor & gift ideas to celebrate the holiday.  From the perfect gift idea for a loved one to some cute outfit inso for your Netflix night this post has got you covered wether your going out or staying in this Valentines day!

Fashion

Romantic

This first outfit is perfect for a romantic dinner date with your love.  This lovely cream dress lined with delicate baby pink tulle looks like a piece out of a storybook romance.  This dress from Tobi has such a romantic feminine feeling to it with the tulle, light colors, and sweetheart neckline, perfect for date night.  I paired this dress with stacked gold pearl bracelets, (you can never go wrong with pearls)!  And for a finishing touch I added a cream colored ribbon in my hair to match the dress.

Netflix Night

I for one will be spending Valentines day in my pajamas watching netflix, but I do adore festive pajamas!  This look is perfect for watching Netflix all night or maybe having a festive pamper night with your friends.  I have on these adorable red heart shorts from Aeropostale that I paired with a plain white tank top, so cute and cozy!  I also added this red bow hairband from Claires to match my shorts and complete the Valentines day look!

DIY Gifts

Lipstick Art

Lipstick art is a super cute and personal gift idea, a little twist on the classic V-day greeting card.  Just grab a frame, lipstick of your choice, and a pice of paper.  Write your valentines day message in lipstick (don't forget to give the paper a kiss)!

Scented Hearts

These scented fabric hearts are the perfect gift for your loved one!  Just grab printed fabric of your choice and fill your hearts with.... chia seeds?! Fill these hearts with chia seeds  and spray them with your favorite perfume, the seeds will absorb the perfume and keep your fabric hearts smelling just like you!  These cute fabric hearts of your perfume make a cute and personal gift this Valentines day!

Fun DIY Projects

This cute heart banner is an easy and fun project to decorate for the holiday!  Just punch out some hearts from festive paper and hang them on a ribbon.  Super cute and easy!

Other touches to decorate for the holiday are adding cute framed quotes or heart shaped pillows too your room.  Frame your favorite quote on love and use it as a decoration on your bedside table or add a cute heart pillow that you made to your bed, both are adorable ways to celebrate Valentines day!

Lookbook Video

Pink Romance
Date night Outfit

This first outfit "Pink romance" is perfect for date night, it has a classic, feminine, romantic, feel to it, the main focus being on the chiffon powder pink dress with its high neckline and lace details.  This dress from the online boutique Xenia gives off a lovely and romantic feeling and looks so sweet and innocent.  I just love the lace high neckline and light weight chiffon skirt which I could twirl around all night in!  I paired this dress with some nude lace flats from Payless which compliments the lace and color of the dress beautifully and are super comfortable.  For the finishing touch I added my delicate pearl necklace from Lia sophia which gives off a classic feminine feeling and pulls the outfit together.

Vintage Sweetheart
Girls Night Out

This next outfit "Vintage sweetheart" is perfect for a fun night out getting dressed up with your friends!  This outfit gives off a feminine, fun, and vintage feeling with this pleated A-line skirt, white heels, and floral patterned top which reminds me of victorian times.  The structured, grey, A-line skirt from Cotton On is is so beautiful and classic, it has lots of volume and adds that fun feeling to this outfit. I paired the skirt with a tight floral print tank from Free People which adds gorgeous muted blue hues to this outfit in it's lovely victorian pattern.  And since it's girls night you gotta wear heels, so I chose these white ones with a shiny finish from Famous footwear that complement the entire outfit beautifully!

Cozy Dreams
Relaxing night in

This last outfit "Cozy Dreams" is perfect for a girly Valentines day in, relaxing, baking, and watching all the movies you can on Netflix, (but you still want to take some cute Instagram pictures).  This outfit is a perfect mix of cozy and girly with the cute oversized pink sweater and heart print knee high socks, it resembles an outfit you would spot in your pinterest feed! Sweaters are a winter essential, and this oversized light pink sweater from cotton on is sooooo comfy, it feels as if  I'm wearing a pretty pink knit blanket!  Since the sweater is a few inches short to wear on its own, under it I am wearing a cream cotton dress from Brandy Melville, which acts as another cozy layer in this outfit.   And if your staying home all day your going to need some cute socks, so in the spirt of valentines day I made these knee high socks from heart print tights I got at target, they are so cute, girly, and tie together the outfit perfectly.

I hope you have a lovely valentines day, and remember to love those around you!  Be sure to comment below your favorite outfit and I'll see you soon!

Valentine's day Hair, Makeup & Outfit

Today I am going to show you how I created this Valentine's day look that has a soft, pretty, romantic feel to it.  I am going to first show step by step how I did my makeup.  Then, explain how I achieved the loose french side braid in my hair.  Last, I am going to explain what I put together to make up the outfit.  Lets get started!

For the makeup I started by applying my Roc Daily moisturizer.  (All products mentioned that are available will be linked at the bottom).

Then I put on the Neutrogena skin clearing liquid makeup in shade 60, Natural beige.

After that I used the Maybelline Fit Me concealer in the color 20, Sand under my eyes.

I used the Neutrogena shine control powder in color 10, Invisible to set all the makeup.

To warm up my face I applied my Milani illuminating face powder in the shade 02 Hermosa Rose.

Then I filled in my brows with the Maybelline brow pencil in the color deep brown.

Then, I put Maybelline's color tattoo, which is a cream eyeshadow in shade 70, Barely branded all over my eyelids.

For the powder eye shadow I started by putting the left color in the L'oreal Hip studio Secrets crystal eyeshadow duo in the color 819 Precious all over my lid and a little in the crease.

The next colors I used were from the Urban decay Naked 3 palette.  First I used the color Strange to brighten the inner corners of my eyes.

Next I used the color Buzz in the crease of my eyes, (The color on the left).  Afterwords I used the color Burnout (The color on the right), right under the crease and on the outer half of my eye and blended.

To finish up the eyes I applied the Covergirl clump crusher extensions mascara.

Here's what the eyes look like when they are finished.

We're not done yet for the makeup! For my lipstick I used the Maybelline color sensational lipstick in the color 705 Twinkle.

Then for a gloss I used the Maybelline color sensational lipgloss in the color 20 Glisten up.

Now the makeup is complete!

This makeup look is very feminine and sweet with the hints of pink and gold in the eye shadow, the soft pale pink lips, and long lashes.  Perfect for a Valentine's day date.

For my hair I started off with a Macadamia oil and ran it through my hair to smooth it out.

Then I teased my hair a little bit at the crown with the Aussie you can shine hairspray for some volume.

For the hairstyle I started braiding like a regular french braid except going in the direction to one side of my head.

I then pulled the braid all the way over my shoulder and finished it off like a regular side braid.

To give the hairstyle a finishing touch I added a cream bow I got from Claire's in the back.

This hairstyle is a pretty, girly, twist on the traditional french braid, and the bow in the back completes the hairstyle perfectly.

Now onto the outfit! I absolutely love my pale pink peplum that I got from Charlotte Russe. It gives the outfit that Valentine's Day feel because of the pretty color. The knit cream colored sweater I put over the shirt to keep warm is from Hollister.  It gives the outfit a sweet carefree feel because it is a bit oversized and flows so nicely.  My light wash jeggings are from Hollister, lately I have been in love with light wash jeans!

This silver heart neckless is from Lia Sophia.  It is perfect for Valentine's day with the whole hearts theme!  Lastly, my gold flats are from payless.  These shoes are much more comfortable then heels, and give the outfit the glittering touch it needs.

I hope that you enjoyed the Valentine's Day Hair, Makeup, and Outfit idea. I had so much fun creating this look!  Comment below what you are going to wear/wore this Valentines day, and have a Happy Valentines day!
