Spring Garden Tea Party

With June just around the conner it's a perfect time to get outside and enjoy the warm spring sun. I've always wanted to have a spring garden tea party like those you see on Pinterest; vintage tea sets, sweet treats, colorful flowers, floral sundresses, the works.  So one slightly sunny Saturday in May my friend Tori and I decided to have our own tea party for two.

Today on the blog I am sharing the photos of our DIY girly garden tea party; the table spread, decor, treats, flowers, fashion & more.

The post ends with two videos; one from My youtube channel and one from Tori's covering everything you need to know when hosting a tea party!  Both videos include recipes for tea party treats, lists of essentials, DIY decor, and a better look of our outfits we wore to the tea party.
Enjoy the photos & videos!

What I love most about the decor of our tea party is that nothing matched, yet it all pulled together beautifully.  Pastels, florals, and lace creating an elegant spring garden theme if it must be chosen.

A basic table cloth, white with purple flowers and a simple white runner provided an elegant setting of the table.  We used beautiful vintage miss matched sets for our tea and saucers.  Both tea pots and cups had lovely floral designs fitting the spring garden theme.

Tea lights, paper flowers, petals and doilies cover the table to add color, interest, and the feeling of being in an actual enchanted garden sipping tea.

Pieces of vintage floral scrap fabric made the perfect napkins for the tea party, tied with twine & mini tea set charms.

Tea party snacks were spread across the table including Tori's rose scones and my vegan jelly sugar cookies.  Everyone loves a sweet treat with tea.

Colored sugar cubes, jam with berries, fancy cut lemons, creamer, multiple tea bags & jelly sandwiches are other little treats that were set with the table.

Decor pieces include pastel balloons, a polaroid camera, a teacup display, lacy floral serving dishes along with jars filled of pearls, and touches of tulle.  The tea time ascetic is fit for a princess.

A variety of beautiful lilys, peonies, roses and more created an enchanted garden of our tea table.  White, peach, pink, and yellow flowers of all types including real and faux were placed in decorative vases, flower pots, bouquets or simply ascetically placed about the table.

Elegance is uniform for a tea party and floral dresses are essential.  I chose to wear a strapless lavender / baby blue floral sundress from Abercrombie.  The pastels are perfect for spring along with the classic floral print.  Excess accessories is highly recommended for tea parties.  I of course chose to layer pearls galore; a necklace, bracelets and earrings. To finish off my look I added two pink flower clips that fit perfectly with the garden theme.  This springtime look displays the grace and elegance fitting for a tea party.
