Summer Favorites Beauty & Accessories

Welcome back to my blog!  In the midst of summer I find myself reaching for seasonable favorites such as waterproof makeup and oversized sunglasses.  Today I'm sharing a few of my favorites in beauty and accessories.  All available items will be linked in A few of my favorite things, Enjoy!

Too Faced better than sex waterproof mascara
The waterproof version of my absolute favorite mascara.  The better than sex waterproof mascara makes my lashes long and full like the original plus it does not run or smudge as much as the non-waterproof version.  It's the perfect mascara for a day at the pool along with its beautiful aqua packaging that fits perfectly with my summer instagram theme.

Pearl choker
This pearl choker (that I have been looking everywhere for and finally found) from Claire's is my new absolute favorite necklace.  The beautiful twisted strand of faux pearls adds a girly touch to my summer ensembles.

Ari by Ariana Grande perfume
Ari by Ariana Grande.  A perfume smelling of roses, marshmallows, and everything sweet has become my signature scent throughout this year.  I purchased this perfume back in September, falling in love with its feminine fragrance I've hardly worn anything since.

Dior Sunglasses
I have been lusting after a pair of white Dior sunglasses for as long as I can remember. Purchasing this pair off poshmark at an extreme discount was one of the best shopping choices I've made in a while.  The sunglasses are a beautiful cream white with glamorous movie star lenses, of course reading Dior on the side.  Such a glamorous accessory for the summer!

I hope you enjoyed, be sure to comment below telling me your favorites in beauty and accessories for this summer.  See you in my next post!

Spring Garden Tea Party

With June just around the conner it's a perfect time to get outside and enjoy the warm spring sun. I've always wanted to have a spring garden tea party like those you see on Pinterest; vintage tea sets, sweet treats, colorful flowers, floral sundresses, the works.  So one slightly sunny Saturday in May my friend Tori and I decided to have our own tea party for two.

Today on the blog I am sharing the photos of our DIY girly garden tea party; the table spread, decor, treats, flowers, fashion & more.

The post ends with two videos; one from My youtube channel and one from Tori's covering everything you need to know when hosting a tea party!  Both videos include recipes for tea party treats, lists of essentials, DIY decor, and a better look of our outfits we wore to the tea party.
Enjoy the photos & videos!

What I love most about the decor of our tea party is that nothing matched, yet it all pulled together beautifully.  Pastels, florals, and lace creating an elegant spring garden theme if it must be chosen.

A basic table cloth, white with purple flowers and a simple white runner provided an elegant setting of the table.  We used beautiful vintage miss matched sets for our tea and saucers.  Both tea pots and cups had lovely floral designs fitting the spring garden theme.

Tea lights, paper flowers, petals and doilies cover the table to add color, interest, and the feeling of being in an actual enchanted garden sipping tea.

Pieces of vintage floral scrap fabric made the perfect napkins for the tea party, tied with twine & mini tea set charms.

Tea party snacks were spread across the table including Tori's rose scones and my vegan jelly sugar cookies.  Everyone loves a sweet treat with tea.

Colored sugar cubes, jam with berries, fancy cut lemons, creamer, multiple tea bags & jelly sandwiches are other little treats that were set with the table.

Decor pieces include pastel balloons, a polaroid camera, a teacup display, lacy floral serving dishes along with jars filled of pearls, and touches of tulle.  The tea time ascetic is fit for a princess.

A variety of beautiful lilys, peonies, roses and more created an enchanted garden of our tea table.  White, peach, pink, and yellow flowers of all types including real and faux were placed in decorative vases, flower pots, bouquets or simply ascetically placed about the table.

Elegance is uniform for a tea party and floral dresses are essential.  I chose to wear a strapless lavender / baby blue floral sundress from Abercrombie.  The pastels are perfect for spring along with the classic floral print.  Excess accessories is highly recommended for tea parties.  I of course chose to layer pearls galore; a necklace, bracelets and earrings. To finish off my look I added two pink flower clips that fit perfectly with the garden theme.  This springtime look displays the grace and elegance fitting for a tea party.

Formal 2016 Dress Makeup Hair Photos

Welcome back to my blog! This weekend I attended my Junior formal, today I'm sharing some pictures I took from the day along with a photoshoot I had in the dress at the Philadelphia flower show.  You'll see my dress, how I did my own makeup and had my hair done professionally witch is perfect inspiration if you are attending a dance soon. I had so much fun at formal and took a lot of pictures, enjoy!

The Dress

The look I chose for formal is very girly & romantic.  My dress has a beautiful white lace up corset covered in lace and beaded detailing flowing into a chiffon peach skirt. I adore the combination of peach chiffon, a sweetheart neckline, and a lace up corset.  My dress made me feel like a disney princess.

Heels

I decided to pair my dress with these stunning pearl & lace heels that are the most glamorous shoes I have ever seen.

Hair

I got my hair styled into this beautiful tossed curled updo.  I love how the soft curls were beautifully swept up to create a girly and romantic hairstyle that stayed out of my face while dancing.

Makeup

I did my own makeup for formal and I created this glowing peach makeup look to match the light elegance of my dress.
