Current Makeup Loves / August 2015

Hey it's Chloe and I am back to share my current makeup loves!  Two new products (to me) two old.  Three high end one drugstore.  Two face products, one eye product, and one lips. I have a good mix with these four makeup products, and they are ALL Cruelty free!  Also, if you would like to purchase any of these items they will all be linked here: Chloe's a Few of my Favorite Things  Enjoy!

We'll start with the Too Faced products, I love this brand because the packaging is luxe and the products are dreamy.

The first product is the Too faced better than sex mascara which I have raved about previously on this blog, but I'll just describe it briefly because it is still a favorite of mine.  First off the packaging is so luxe, made of a heavier metal like material and I just love the pink color and engraved label.  The mascara wand is the perfect hour glass curved shape which makes for easy application.  This mascara makes my lashes long, dark, and full, what more could a girl as for?  After I'm finished applying this mascara my lashes are doll like and that is why the Too faced better than sex mascara secures a special place in my heart.

I received this Too faced lipstick in "Nude beach" for my 16th birthday from a friend.  Let me just say it has quickly soared to the top of my list of favorite lip products.

The formulation is buttery smooth and the pigmentation is bold with a solid finish.  I will defiantly be adding more Too Faced lip products to my collection in the future.

The shade "Nude Beach" (Bottom swatch) is the perfect everyday lip shade, it's a "my lips but better" color and this perfect formulation is long wear as well.  Nude Beach has a home in my purse because I am constantly wearing this lipstick.

Now for the magical concealer (yes I called a concealer magical just go with it) the Tarte Maracuja creaseless concealer.  I was on the hunt for a full coverage long wear concealer and this Tarte one is a perfect fit.  With it's full coverage formulation I only need to use a drop of concealer and it  brightens up my under eye area beautifully.  The best part about the concealer is that it is long wear, and DOES NOT TURN ORANGE, yay!!! I highly recommend this Tarte concealer and will be using it for a good long time.

My last product is the only Drugstore one, but it's a love all the same!  This Natural Nude Highlighter by Physician's Formula!

This product gives off the most beautiful shine when applied, it makes me feel like I was sprinkled with fairy dust haha!  There are three rows of different shimmering shades from white to blush to bronze, but I just take my brush and swirl them all together for the perfect glow.

Those are all my current makeup loves!!  Tell me in the comments if you have tried any of these products mentioned.  Also let me know which ones you will be adding to your wish list!  See you in the comments!

January 2015 Favorites♡

Wow, where did January go?  We are already a week into February so I thought I would share my January favorites!  This month brought a lot of new makeup favorites, fragrance favorites, and an overwhelming amount of  pink haha!  The items mentioned that are available online will be liked in Chloe's These are a Few of my favorite things if you are interested, and I will be uploading  a video to go along with this post on February 12th on My Youtube channel  so be sure your subscribed!  Let's get started with my favorites!

Makeup

Benefit high beam

This month I tried out a huge amount of Benefit beauty products and I must say, this highlighter is at the top of my list!  It is a liquid/cream highlighter with a shimmering pink under tone that's  gorgeous!  I use this to highlight my cheek bones and the bridge of my nose, and it gives me the prettiest natural glow!  I prefer cream highlighters over powder ones because they blend beautifully with your skin, and this one is my favorite I have came across so far!

Benefit Puff off eye gel

The runner up favorite Benefit product is their new Puff off eye gel.  I've had my share of all nighters studying for finals this month, and this product came in handy the next day with its cute little iron tip to smooth out my under eye circles!  This puff off eye gel is a bit pricey, and doesn't make all of my under eye problems disappear completely, but I used it almost everyday this month and defiantly helped ALOT with the puffiness and discoloration of my under eye area.  I did a full review of this product, so be sure to check it out if you are interested HERE

Naked 3 Palette Shades:
Strange~Dust~Burnout~Limit

Lately I have been LOVING pink toned eyeshadows, they are sweet, beautiful and delicate.  I  have been reaching for an old favor quit a bit, my Urban Decay Naked 3 palette, specifically the shades (left to right, swatched bottom to top) Strange, Dust, Burnout, and Limit.  Strange is a white matte color with a pink undertone I like to wear on my brow bone.  Dust is my favorite, a light pink loose glitter shade that I pat onto the center of my eyelid.  Burnout is a shimmering rose pink that I use to darken up my light pink look.  Limit is a matte light pink that I use in the crease or all over the lid.  These all have beautiful color payoff and this palette has been a great investment in the year that I've had it. If you would like to read a full review on the Naked 3 palette click HERE

Lorac Unzipped Palette Shade:
 Unreal

Along with the Naked 3 palette pink shadows, I have been wearing the shade Unreal from the Lorac Unzipped palette basically everyday!  Unreal is a light pink shimmering shadow with loads of shine, I wear it all over my lid up to my brow bone to act as a base for the rest of my pink shadows.  If you would like to see a makeup tutorial with all of the pink shadows I've been wearing, be sure to watch it on my youtube channel HERE

Maybelline Dream Bouncy blush
~Orchid hush

I have been loving the "natural glow" look that my highlighter has been giving me and to go along with it I have been wearing this Maybelline Dream bouncy blush in the shade Orchid hush.  This product is a plum/pink cream blush with a beautiful shine.  It blends beautifully into my cheeks and gives me the perfect pink/natural glow that I love!  Defiantly a must have drugstore product!

Maybelline Matte lipstick
~Lust for Blush

This matte lipstick from Maybelline is just WOW!!  It's so creamy, super matte, and the color payoff is beautiful!  Lust for blush is a dark rose shade and let me just say, it's stunning, I have gotten numerous complements on my lip color when I wear it.  It's my go to lip color at the moment and another amazing drugstore find!

Skincare

First aid Beauty Ultra repair Cream

The harsh cold days of winter are upon us, and for all the dreadful exama and dry patches that I get, the only product that I have found that makes all of my winter skin issues COMPLETELY DISAPPEAR is this First aid beauty Ultra repair Cream.  It's my holy grail winter skincare product ever since I discovered it last year!  This cream makes exama shrink and go away within days.  If you struggle with dry skin or exama this stuff works wonders, and it's not too pricey at Sephora!

Bath & Body

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Rollerball

This month I read ALOT of fashion magazines and therefor smelled a lot of fragrance samples, sooo being me I ended up buying a rollerball of my favorite, Marc Jacob's Daisy Dream.  The scent is described as "A fruity floral fragrance with a light and airy touch. Inspired by the boundless spirit of daisies and blue skies".  The key notes are Blackberry, Grapefruit, Pear, Jasmine, Lychee, and Blue Wisteria.  I would describe this scent as fresh, floral, feminine, and dreamy.  This fragrance is the PERFECT scent for me all year round and now I kind of want the full size, even though its pretty expensive.

Velvet Sugar

Of course, I have my Bath & Bodyworks favorite, witch at the moment is Velvet sugar!  I bought the Triple moisture body cream, Fragrance mist, and Mini shower gel, I can't get enough of this sweet and girly scent, it smells just like sugar dipped strawberries!  Velvet sugar is described as "A sweetly sumptuous blend of red velvet creme and golden plum laced with a swirl of sugars musk, pink jasmine, and wild strawberries".  This scent (and the packaging) is perfect for right around valentines day when you want to wear something sweet!

Nails

Sally Hanson Complete Salon Manicure
 ~Pink pong

If you have been reading my blog for a while you know that the Sally Hanson complete salon manicure line is my absolute favorite, and ever since the holidays ended I have been reaching for the shade Pink Pong!  I would describe this shade as a muted rose, which is perfect for the winter months!  But, the main reason I gravitate towards this color is because    it matches all my pink and my beige sweaters haha!

Fashion

Paris Sweater

So, this is the sweater that I have been living through the harsh days of winter in, my light pink Paris sweater from Abercrombie that I got for Christmas!  This sweater is soooo soft, fuzzy inside, and has beautiful black beading of the Eiffel tower and paris spelled out on it. Plus its light pink, I am OBSESSED with light pink!  Basically my favorite sweater ever, it's so girly and cozy, I would recommend that if you have a similar style to me you go get yourself one!

Accessories

Pearl/gold Bracelets

Another christmas gift that I have been wearing a lot are these pearl/gold stretchy bracelets from a little shop called White Butterfly.  Pearls are my FAVORITE and I prefer gold over silver, so these are peffect for me!  I love wearing them in a stack with my gold Alex and Ani bracelets!

Pearl Earrings

Along with my bracelets I have been wearing these white and pearl earrings my sister got me for christmas, sadly I don't know where she got them.  They go with literally ALL of my outfits, pearls are a classic and feminine accessory!

Random

Style Magazines

Recent favorite past time: reading up on all the latest fashion trends and flipping through ads in fashion magazines.  I basically bought all the style related magazines in my food store and sat there for a while flipping through the pages, for someone who is really into beauty and fashion like me this is a really fun way to keep up on all of the latest trends! (And when your done you can make some really pretty inspo boards)!

That concludes my January Favorites!  Items still available are linked in Chloe's These are a few of my Favorite things Be sure to talk to me in the comments below about any of these products / your favorites!

May and June Favorites 2014

Hey everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your summer break. Today I have my May AND June favorites!  Yes, two months worth of favorites all in one post.  I had meant to post my May favorites back in June and I never got a chance, so I just added them in with my June favorites as well!  I also made a video about these favorites on My Youtube channel so be sure to check it out below!  In this post I am going to break  up everything into categories and tell you all about my favorites!  If I do say so my self there are quite a few things here that will make you want to run to the nearest mall right after you read this post!  I did my best to find the products online, so if you want to purchase items mentioned then go to the section of my Blog titled Chloe's These are a Few of my Favorite Things and if the product is still available there will be a picture of it that will lead you right to the website!  Now without further ado, here is one of my longest posts that I've written so far filled with a bit of everything!

May & June Favorites Video

Makeup

May

So basically for the entire month of May the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette was the ONLY PALETTE I touched, yup it's that good.  It has all of your basic matte neutral colors plus a shimmer off white and a back shadow.  I used the light brown matte  shade called Naked 2  the most all over my lid and the shimmer off white shade called Venus a lot in my inner corners.  The shades are perfect for creating everyday makeup looks, and the shadows are all beautifully smooth and pigmented.  Also, I love that the palette is travel size so you can bring it anywhere!

As the weather kept getting warmer my makeup kept melting, even though I started to wear a lot less.  But, then I found this NYX Matte Finish finishing spray and the game changed in my favor.  Now I can sit in the sun for hours with a full face of makeup and it won't budge (mind you I don't do that I like minimal makeup for the summer).  Beginning in May and now into July I spray my face with this finishing spray and my makeup stays all day! This product is a must have for anyone who wears light to full makeup during the warmer months.

My last Makeup favorite for May is this L'oreal Color Riche lipstick in shade 135 Ballerina shoes.  First of all the formula is just perfect, I LOVE all of the L'oreal Color Riche lipsticks.  They are all so rich and smooth, especially for a drugstore lip product!  This shade is a really pretty barbie pink with a bit of shine.  Beautiful for the spring and summer!  I did a post on this lipstick in April with a couple other drugstore lipsticks, so if you want to see a full review, read this post: Bright, Affordable, Wearable, and Beautiful Spring Lipsticks

June

During the summer months I like my makeup to be light and minimal but still have that airbrushed look. I have been mixing two light water based foundations.  First, the Bare Minerals Pure Brightening serum foundation which is super light and water based.  The color match is perfect, I ware shade Bare Beige 08, and it has Spf 20 in it which protects against the sun.  But, alone I found that it does not provide as much coverage as I would like.  So, that is where the L'oreal Magic Nude liquid powder foundation comes in.  This foundation I like because gives my skin an airbrushed look with it's  liquid to powder formula. With this I can avoid wearing powder which is perfect because I find that wearing powder in the summer tends to make me look cakey.  This foundation also has Spf 18.  I mix it with the Bare minerals foundation because I am in between shades 312 Classic Ivory and 314 Creamy Natural, also if my skin has ANY dry patches at all this foundation will stick to them horribly, and when mixing it with the Bare minerals foundation I avoid that that problem all together.  This combination gives me the light airbrushed look that I love, matches my skin color, and protects me from the sun!

Another favorite from NYX is this stick waterproof concealer.  If I was only allowed to ware one makeup idem ever it would have to be concealer for underneath my eyes.  I feel that it makes my face look brighter and more awake.  When I go in the pool or ocean I wear this concealer, and since it's waterproof it stays on well!  This has been a really useful idem this summer to throw in my beach bag when I know I am going to be by water!

Nails

May

As you may know, I am obsessed with Sally Hanson nail polishes!  I love their long-lasting quality and gel like shine finish.  In May I bought this Sally Hanson Ultimate shield top coat polish and now my nail polish can go a week with out chipping!  Also, this top coat adds even more shine to my nails! Another successful Sally Hanson purchase.

Hair

June

I use so much hairspray it's laughable, and of course I carry it around with me wherever I go for hair emergencies!  Well before I was caring around a full size bottle of hairspray in my purse, (people would stare when I pulled it out, and it makes my purse really heavy haha), now I got a mini bottle!  Let me tell you, it is much easier to carry around, and less socially weird to pull out of your purse!  So if you have the same problems that I was having, be sure to look for a travel size bottle! Oh, and the Matrix Biolage Blue agave formula is a pretty good one, and very easy to build up when teasing hair.

Bath & Body

May

Every month I have a new hand sanitizer from Bath & Body works in my purse.  For May I picked a perfect springtime scent; Lavender Honey.  Literally springtime in a bottle: Honey and flowers.  Also, the label is the cutest with the little flowers and bees on it!

June

In June I found a sweet, light, and floral summer scent called Golden Magnolia Sun from Bath & Body works.  The scent description reads, "a luminous blend of pink magnolia, golden apricot, and sun kissed peony, blooming with a touch of sensual vanilla and cassis nectar".  Of course I didn't just buy the soap, I also bought the body spray and body scrub as well!  Body scrub is really great for the summer because it keeps your skin smooth and free of dry patches.  Also, the packaging for these products is so fun and reminds me of the summer sun, especially the body scrub which has the colors of a sunset on it!

Cute Things

May

I found the most adorable makeup bag from Victoria's Secret!  It has pink stripes on it, and pink is my favorite color!  It's great to throw in my purse and the long shape is perfect for lip products and mascaras!  Also, a bonus is that it is made of a wipeable material so it is easy to remove makeup stains, which has been a problem with past makeup bags for me.  This makeup bag is now an on the go essential!

June

This phone case just makes me smile when ever I look at it.  It is a hologram of an ocean scene and a rainbow, so when you turn it different ways the rainbow appears/disappears and the ocean waves move back and forth revealing a message in the sand that reads "Wish you were here".  Such a beautiful ocean scene, and I love the gold trim.  This phone case from Aeropostale is really unique and has a fun summer postcard vibe to it!

Accessories

May

I really like the two bottom charm bracelets pictured above from Claire's.  One has a C on it (for Chloe of course), and the other has a sparkling sphere.  Stacking bracelets is really fun and I love dainty jewelry like this!  These bracelets add sparkle and shine to the outfits they are worn with!

June

These heart shaped sunglasses from Charlotte Russe are MY FAVORITE thing for basically the whole summer!!!  I looked in every store in the entire mall for a pair of sunglasses like this; heart shaped, gold, aviator style, AND to make these even more amazing there is pink at the bottom of the sunglasses!  These are exactly my style, and couldn't have found a better pair of sunglass for the summer!

Outfits

May

During May I wore this outfit all the time!  It is super girly (just my style), reminds me of spring, and incorporates two of my favorite colors; pink and gold!  The floral skirt from Abercrombie is so pretty and girly, I love the pink tones.  During the spring I always wear a lot of floral skirts because they just brighten my mood!  The white crop top from Abercrombie compliments the skirt nicely and has fun cutouts in the back.  Of course during spring and summer I'm going to be wearing sandals, and these gold ones from Macy's are beautiful!  I love the sparkles and the gorgeous twist design on them.  The light pink headband is from American Apparel and it adds even more of a girly style to this look!  Lastly, for jewelry I didn't want to go overboard, so I added a gold love ring from Claire's to complete my outfit.

June

During June I put together this outfit and wore it a lot!  I love pretty tank tops for the summer and the color combination of blue and white makes for an outfit that reminds me of the ocean and boardwalk!  My tank top from Hollister is really beautiful and unique, it is tight with white lace at the top and flows out with a beautiful design containing  different shades of blues.  This top is the focal point of the outfit and adds an ocean feel to this summer look.  White short will always be my favorite for the summer because of their ability to dress up an outfit, these from Hollister are really cute and simple.  My shoes from Payless add some sparkle to the outfit, which is always needed!  They are really simple silver flip flops witch are such a better choice then plastic ones.  To finish the look with more sparkle I am wearing my silver charm bracelets and my love bracelet.  These look really pretty when stacked together as I did!

I hope you enjoyed reading all about my two month's worth of favorites, I always love to share with you all!  Items that are still available online will be in Chloe's These are a Few of my Favorite things if you want to take a look!  Be sure to tell me in the comments if you have any of the same favorites as me!  And subscribe to my youtube channel Beautyybychloe  because I have been making a lot of new videos recently!  Also, tell me if you like these super long posts haha!
