Glowing & Girly Spring Makeup

Spring is just around the corner, and that not only means warm weather, floral dresses and picnics, but glowing makeup looks as well!  Today I am sharing a spring makeup look that gives you a bright and natural glow with a glossy pink lip perfect for spring!  As well as this post I included a video tutorial from my youtube channel so you can follow along step by step, enjoy!

Video Tutorial

Face

First aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

Winter is at it's near end, but my dry skin still hasn't changed back into it's non-winter form.  For that reason I am going to start by using this heavily moisturizing lotion from First aid Beauty all over my face.

Benefit Porefessional primer

Again because of patchy dry skin I am going to start my makeup by priming my face with the Porefessional primer, this way my foundation doesn't sink into the dry patches on my face.

Maybelline Dream Wonder Foundation
 / Classic Ivory

For foundati0n I am using Maybelline's Dream Wonder in Classic Ivory because it is a light weight liquid foundation (which is what I look for in the spring) that just lightly smoothens out my complexion.

Cover Girl True Bled Fixstick / Fair

To brighten up and highlight my eye area I am applying this cover girl concealer stick under my eyes and on my brow bones.  To be honest this is not my favorite concealer stick, but I just needed something that matched my (now pale) skin tone a bit better than my Fit Me concealer.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer / Sand

I am just going in with a bit of my Fit Me concealer in Sand under my eyes to make sure the dark circles are completely covered, since it is a bit off from my skin tone I'm going to blend, blend, blend.

Neutrogena setting powder

Seting ONLY my concealer I am using this Neutrogena powder, I am not using it all over my face because we are going for a fresh, glowing makeup look.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer

Now I am contouring my cheekbones, jawline, and forehead with the Hoola bronzer to add some color to my face.

Benefit Dandelion & Bella bamba blush

To get rosy pink cheeks I am mixing the Dandelion and Bella bamba blush, this combination is beautiful!

Benefit Girl Meets Pearl highlighter

To give my face the beautiful spring glow I'm going for, I used my Benefit girl meets pearl.  I really like this product because it gives off a pink toned natural glow!

Eyes

Lorac Eye Primer

For eyeshadow that lasts all day it is important to use a primer, so I am using this sample size Lorac one that I got from Sephora a while back.

Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette
/ Silk Teddy Honey Pot

The eyes are always my favorite part, for this makeup look I am mainly using my Too Faced Natural Eyes palette to create this fresh, shimmering, pink toned, eye look.  This look is super simple using mainly two colors because as the weather warms up I find myself wanting to ware less/lighter makeup looks.  I am starting by packing Silk Teddy: a light, shimmering, pink all over my eyelids.  Then I am using Honey Pot: a light, honey, gold shade and blending it thoroughly into my crease.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette /Strange

For a brow bone highlight I am using Strange: a matte cream colored shadow from the Naked 3 palette.

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette
/ Venus Faint

To finish off the eyes I am adding my favorite highlight shade, Venus: a shimmering white from the Naked Basics palette in the inner corners of my eyes.

Then, I am lightly filling in my eyebrows as per usual with the shade Faint: a light chocolate brown.

 Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

After curling my eyelashes I am going in with the Maybelline Lash sensational mascara, it's not my favorite but it works pretty nicely and provides a good base for my next mascara.

Benefit They're Real Mascara

To finish my mascara I am using a favorite, the Benefit They're Real mascara which lengthens my lashes to the max!

 Lips

Too Face Melted Lipstick / Marshmallow

For beautiful pink lips I am using my new Too Faced Melted lipstick in Marshmallow: a bright, pastel, but wearable, pink. I lovvvee this product, its so buttery and pigmented!

Nyx butter gloss / Vanilla Cream

What's spring without a glossy lip?  To finish off my makeup I'm using the Nyx butter gloss in Vanilla Cream: a sheer and bubblegum toned pink.

Here is the completed look!  I really love the glowing and rosy aspect of this look, it gets me in the mood for spring weather!  Tell me what you think of this makeup / these products below!

Wedding Trends ♡ Eva for Loverly Bridesmaid Dresses & Top Picks

Today on the blog I am talking about bridesmaids dresses, modern cuts colors and detail for spring 2015, specifically from the new Eva for Loverly line designed by Eva Franco.  Loverly, an online wedding shop and planning website sent me some of the designs for this line early in the month and I knew I would adore the collection of modern day vintage bridesmaid dresses with classic cuts and lace details.  I'm going to share with you my thoughts on this collection along with my top picks and thoughts on these trends for spring 2015.

The Collection

The newly released Eva for Loverly collection consists of around forty bridesmaids dresses, jumpsuits, and separates in modern styles that give off a vintage, romantic feeling when worn walking down the isle.  The color palette consists of mostly neutrals; navy, pink, white, and ivory with a sprinkle of bright emeralds, blues, and a violet thrown into the mix.  Lace is prominent in these dresses, it's use brings a delicate femininity to the dresses and is paired with chiffon which is perfect for bridal wear.  The line has a wide variety of cuts, shapes and necklines from the classic A-line dresses with a high neckline to a sleeveless modern separate with a knee length skirt.  There are Jumpsuits, A-lines, Baby dolls, Body cons, Separates, all types of bridesmaids wear under the sun.  Eva for Loverly is the perfect collection of brides maids dresses for a modern garden wedding.

Top Picks

Ellie Dress

My first pick from the collection is the "Ellie Dress" an off white, lace, A-line, dress with a sweet but conservative sheer high neckline.  A-line dresses are a classic for bridesmaid's dresses and look great on just about anyone.  This dress specifically is unique because of the floral cream lace pattern that makes up the majority of the dress, it gives off a romantic innocent feel which is perfect for weddings.  The sheer high neckline is the delicate finishing touch that gives the dress a little extra elegance.  I would say the "Ellie Dress" is my favorite in this collection.

Jax & Paloma Set

Another favorite of mine is the "Jax & Paloma Set", a white co-ord  with textured lace details.  This set caught my eye because it defies the traditional "bridesmaid dress" look being a two piece, and WHITE FOR A BRIDESMAID?!?!  This is a very trendy pick for bridesmaids and I happened to love it, the white coloring and simple knee length skirt looks crisp and clean, letting the lace take control of the outfit.  I personally wouldn't dress my bridesmaids in white but if you do have a colored wedding dress (I  know lots of people choose blush) this set would look gorgeous in the wedding party.

Zoe Dress

The "Zoe Dress"  is my last pick, a pink champagne A-line dress with a with a lace leaf pattern through out that subtly glistens in the light.  The neutral pink coloring gives the dress a sweet and romantic feel while the classic cut gives it a beautiful simplicity.  The glistening lace leaf pattern makes the "Zoe dress" a perfect fit for an outdoor garden wedding ceremony and is sure to look complimentary next to any wedding gown .

I hope you enjoyed reading all about this new line of bridesmaid dresses!  As a fashion fanatic myself I loved sharing my thoughts on these dresses from Loverly. Here's the link if you want to check them out: LINK Leave me your comments on what you think of the line below, see you soon.
